Star Harness with Arms

Eve's notes about the Star Harness with Arms

The Star Harness with Arms resembles the Star Harness but with the arms securely tied behind the back. Unlike the regular Star Harness whose primary function is aesthetic (With the added benefit of making quite a revolutionary and impactful statement), the Star Harness with Arms restricts movement as well.

By now, you will have realized that most chest harnesses that restrict movement do so by placing the arms of the person being tied in a box-like position behind their back (See Gote Shibari, Cross-Chest Box Tie, and the Half-Diamond Chest Harness). This position can be easily maintained for extended periods of time, giving the person tying the ability to perform long and complex ties without worrying their partner is too uncomfortable.

That said, I understand that there will be times when the person being tied wants to be untied immediately. This is why we strongly recommend using the Somerville Bowline Single Column tie when tying the wrists together. This quirky Single Column Tie will allow you to untie the wrists without having to untie the rest of the chest harness, providing immediate relief.

As always, it's important to communicate with your partner on a regular basis. Is there something in particular they would like to do? How does the tie feel? Do they want to be tied tighter? Are they sitting comfortably on the bed or would they rather sit on the floor? Never assume you know what your partner is feeling and don't be afraid to ask.

Have fun tying!
