A little research and I found the name Shibari which led me to the Shibari Academy. Still a little unsure about any future practicing Shibari, I wanted to know more about it. I found the Shibari 101 course very enlightening and educational, with many considerations I had not thought of and a bit of guidance to aid in making the decision to continue or not. Should my friend and I decide to continue experimenting with Shibari, I will be back to complete the Shibari Certificate.

I have always been fascinated with Shibari. As a trained sub/switch my roping skills were appreciated by my masters. I am learning a lot from the class on the art form of Shibari. I really enjoy the sensual lines of the rope which cause tension and titalation for both me and my partners. I look forward to completing the course over the next month or so. Thank you! Instruction is very segmented and logical as well as clear. The trainer in the videos does a great job of explaining the topics. First and foremost, I need to sing my praises to the Shibari Academy! Professionally, I am educated in Learning Experience Design and Instructional Technology. E-courses is what I DO. This is a phenomenally put together course and I have been left thoroughly impressed with what I have experienced. I am a complete novice in the BDSM arena but at the last dungeon I attended, I saw a gentleman masterfully weaving, dominating, and squeezing this giant of a man who laid before me when it was all said and done, in a puddle of bliss. In those type of environments, I am always cognizant of making sure I am not staring or making anyone uncomfortable. This instance was the exception, I could NOT take my eyes off of what I was witnessing. It looked like a kinetic therapy session, and it was then I decided I needed to learn everything I can learn about this art form I had just experienced. After looking at numerous YouTube videos and searching around the internet, thankfully I came across Shibari Academy. This was everything I was looking for and more. In the genesis of learning something new, the challenge of not knowing what you don't know can really hinder you without the trustworthy guide of a knowledgeable mentor. The bite sized lessons, logically building one after another, and the constant emphasis on safety and connection reassured me that I would have to look no further, and neither should you!
