Shibari Academy

At Shibari Academy we make our best effort to teach Shibari in the friendliest way possible. We are on a mission to make this beautiful art more accessible to the general public and give the opportunity, even to the skeptics and traditional-minded among us, to enjoy the benefits of practicing Shibari and better their relationships. This is why we take special care to make our video lessons non-threatening and easy to follow.  

That said, Shibari does have a history of playing with the taboo and the kink. Of exploring the edges of what is accepted in mainstream society and then consciously crossing that line. We actually owe the introduction and permanence of Shibari in the west to the adventurous souls who dared defy the collective idea of what is normal and what is allowed.  Who embraced a different way of thinking and opened their minds to new experiences.
