Handcuff Gag

Eve's notes about the Handcuff Gag

The Handcuff Gag requires you to use a Somerville Bowline Single Column Tie around one wrist along with an Inline Single Column Tie around the other. You will then place the ropes between the cuffs in your partner's mouth and securely fasten the cuffs by tying a simple hitch behind the neck.

The Handcuff gag is a fantastic example of a creative combination of ties you have (or at least should have) already mastered. To fully experience the joy of Shibari, simply learning as many ties as possible is not nearly enough. You could commit dozens of chest harnesses to memory and still lack the tools and the fire to improvise.

The truth is, you do not need to learn any complex ties or patterns to start creating your own ties. You do not need months or years of experience to start thinking outside the box. As is clearly shown in Handcuff Gag, all you really need is a couple of single column ties, basic knots, and a little playful curiosity to get started.

This is why we teach several single column ties and basic knots in our Free Shibari 101 course. Shibari is for everyone.

What other ties can you invent?

Have fun tying!
