Sever's HAnd

Eve's notes about the Server's Hand

The Server's Hand makes quite a creative use of an inline double coin knot to securely hold three fingers. You then proceed to place your partner's hand in a server's position and use the remaining rope to hold that position in place. Once securely fastened, you can make use of the server's hand and place all kinds of objects on it.

In Shibari, there is a clear power exchange between the person tying and the person being tied in which the person tying relinquishes control over their body to their partner.

That said, this tie explores this power exchange in a different, and deeper way. It places the person being tied in a position of a server and the person tying in the position of the one who is served.  Not only is physical power over the body gifted, but given the nature of the tie, it is also the mind and will of the person being tied that is placed at the disposal of the person tying.

I invite you to explore what this feels like without any biases or fear. Dive into this experience with an open mind and an open heart and let yourself enjoy it, even if you never repeat it.

Have fun tying!
