Diamond Chest Harness

Eve's notes about the Diamond Chest Harness

The Diamond Chest Harness is part of a three-tie series that progresses in complexity:

  1. Half-Diamond Chest Harness

  2. Diamond Chest Harness

  3. Diamond Chest Harness with Flower Weave

In Shibari, even complex ties often come down to a series of simpler ties tied one after the other. Take the Diamond Chest Harness with Flower Weave , for example. It's actually a combination of three separate ties. As you move through each of the three ties, pay close attention to how they are different and what new elements each one brings to the table.

The Diamond Chest Harness, the second step, expands on the Half-Diamond Chest Harness. It creates a beautiful large-diamond pattern across the chest, providing additional support to the breasts.

To form the diamond shape, start with the Half-Diamond Chest Harness and then weave the rope around the chest. When weaving the rope be careful to keep the parallel set of ropes from crossing each other, making sure they remain flat against the chest. If they cross or bunch up, the harness can become uncomfortable and lose its visual appeal.

ou might remember a finer diamond pattern from our Fishnets and Waist Harness with Cuffs ties. This pattern in the Diamond Chest Harness is bolder, with larger and thicker diamonds, using two strands of rope for weaving instead of one. This is a great example of how there are plenty of ways to achieve similar results in Shibari and in the end, it is up to your preferences to choose which technique you use.

Have fun tying!
