Arm Binder

Eve's notes about the Arm Binder

The Arm Binder is one of my favorite ties of all time. Due to its difficulty, it requires a deep connection and understanding between partners. Be ready to take your relationship to the next level with this tie!

When you begin tying, you will notice that the cuffs around the arms will slip unless the person being tied is constantly applying tension to the ropes. That is the secret of this tie! Having the person being tied take an active role when being tied does not happen a lot in Shibari. This is a special occasion which makes tying the Arm Binder successfully a great achievement for both of you.

I usually recommend this tie only to intermediate/advanced students because it cannot tied in a hurry. Beginner Shibari students tend to show how much they have learned by tying their ties really fast. I've seen this behavior countless times and was victim to it as well in my early days. It is only when you truly feel mastery over the ropes that you realize tying fast does not equal being an expert. It is actually tying slowly and sensually, really imbuing the ropes with feeling that will take your Shibari sessions to next level.

So take it slow and enjoy the challenge.
