Bikini Chest Harness

Eve's notes about the Bikini Chest Harness

In Shibari, complex ties are usually the result of combinations of simple ties or the gradual increase of twists and bends of the rope on top of a simple tie. There is no secret to becoming a Shibari expert. Mastery of Shibari is only understanding how simple elements combine to create what appears to be a complex tie.

Following this logic, the Bikini Harness is a natural progression of the Basic Chest Harness. You will observe that the general structure of two sets of ropes going around the upper and lower chest is followed. As in the Basic Chest Harness, the rope changes direction in the back and drapes over the shoulders to reach the front of the chest.

This is where things change a little bit. In the Basic Chest Harness, the vertical ropes are weaved only around the set of ropes that are in the lower chest. In the case of the Bikini Harness, we will also weave the vertical ropes around the ropes that go around the upper chest. By doing this, we are creating a sturdier harness that will hold the breasts more securely in place.

Ask your partner how the feeling of the Bikini Harness differs from that of the Basic Chest Harness. There is no right or wrong answers and more complex ties are not necessarily "better". The world of Shibari is all about discovering what you like and what you don't like. So be curious about how you and your partner feel about each tie and spend more time on those that you both enjoy. We offer lifetime access in our Certificate, so there is no hurry to complete the curriculum.

Have fun tying!
