Hojojutsu Cuff

Eve's notes about the Hojojutsu Cuff

Hojojutsu was a torture technique used by the samurais in the 1400 - 1600 to tie their prisoners. It is the "grandfather" of modern Shibari yet, unlike Shibari, Hojojutsu ties were meant to hurt. This is a warning to be careful when trying out any hojojutsu tie and to share this information with the person being tied.

That said, let's dive in!

The hojojutsu cuff's purpose is to restrain. It creates a knot that will tighten indefinitely under tension by creative use of two overhand knots. It has the added benefit of being tied in a matter of seconds.

Be careful and above all, have fun tying!
